Welcome to Our Neighbourhood

Very pleased with my piece, I feel very fortunate to have "neighbours" of Katrina, Georgie, Jane C, Jane B, Kathy, Patricia, Lisa and Susan to contribute to my rr. This is the first time I join RR, I didn't know what is involved before therefore I have too big a piece! Well, I'll think of some way to fill it up with verses, alphabets or something. Thank you friends/neighbours for your wonderful & beautiful works. I can't wait for this to come home. Thank you Jane, for posting this picture.

Automata - French Doll - A.Marque

I don't consider this as fully completed as I have to make a band around the hip (delayed due to shortage of fabric) and the neckline at the front need another piece of lace attached to it. I bought the hat and handbag in different parts of Japan. What a shame, they only have one, I hope there'll be more when I go there this time.

Tote Bage

My first attempt at making a tote bag. I lined the bag with iron on batting to give it more body. The pattern is from Arets Korrsting 1995 designed by Bjorn Wiinblad based on H.C. Anderson's fairy tales.

I'm taking this bag to Tokyo as a gift to Yvette who's been a great friend over the years, helping me in every way she could.

I'm very pleased with the result and I'll be making more for friends and myself too!!

PS Garden Fairy

I'm in the mood to stitch small things - and this is a first PS Fairy I've stitched in 2007. Hopefully I'll have more time to stitch more accessories/ornaments. At first, I wanted to fill this up with Lavendar and use it as a wardrobe satchel, which I will with the next one.

Scissor Fobs

Found these beautiful patterns from http://grillesdemaryse.canalblog.com/ I love Maryse designs and will probably join her SAL for the gameboard. I try to match the fabric on the back with the scissors - the one shown here is for Gingher "Julia".

Christmas Heart

I found this freebie pattern from http://www.universbroderie.com/ and stitched this for DH. The back fabric is from Moda's christmas pack.

Karin's RR

Voila!!! Here's my part of the neighbourhood that I've stitched for Karin. I have tweaked the PS "Friends" chart a little bit in order to fit the girl into the block - I have moved her to the right. The cat is from LHN and I'd stitched "JOY" out of my head - yes, that's what I wish for all in our neighbourhood, in other words "Joy to the World".
